PSG President: ‘Kylian Mbappe is the best player in the world’

Nasser Al Khelaïfi the president of PSG recently said that Kylian Mbappe was the best player in the world. This was because of a new development concerning the retention of the player’s services at the French side.

Mbappe seems to be set to go, but might snub all European clubs in the process. But PSG is willing to keep him in their midst for a sum of hundred million Euros per season.

Speaking on Rothen’s enflame RMC podcast, the club’s president said the following:

‘Look, I am not trying to hide anything. I want Kylian Mbappe to stay at PSG. He’s the best player in the world and the best club for him is PSG. He is central to our project.’

‘We have done a lot of things, some have worked more than others,’ said the president. ‘We have made mistakes and this is normal. Now we have a young team, with French players, and we are not in a hurry, this is for the long-term.’

However, a statement made by Mbappe seems to suggest he might leave Europe. And Saudi Arabia comes to mind.

‘Many great players who have shaped the history of football have left Europe this summer and we are entering a new era.

It’s become part of the cycle of this sport and at some point it will be my turn to leave. I’m not worried about these changes. I’m simply thinking about continuing my career and following my own path.’
