World record holder Tobi Amusan (OON) has demonstrated that shattering the record wasn’t an accident and that she is capable of doing so time and time again. Amusan recently attended an event in Lagos that was held by her sports management company, Plug Sports, and included a rousing welcome and proper home-coming meal.

The athletics champion, who was born in Ijebu-Ode, spoke with reporters and discussed a variety of topics, including how she borrowed a $50,000 loan to help with her World Athletics Championships  preparation training. 

The knowledge that we have completed the task is the nicest feeling ever. It’s like a breath of new air for me, and I’m still figuring out what’s going on right now. I had the backing of my 200 million troops throughout Nigeria while I competed in the Diamond League, Commonwealth Games, and World Championships. She said.

When asked about how she felt when she crossed the line, she said. Looking back at the previous years’ important competitions and championships, I could see that I consistently finished in fourth place, thus this was an accomplishment for me. That particular occasion was unlike any other medal. The first Nigerian to perform everything on stage set a global record. I was overjoyed.
