Bellator champion calls ‘lying Colby Covington’ a pathological liar

Bellator middleweight champion Johnny Eblen found nothing else to call Colby Covington but a liar since Covington’s reason for a defeat was found to be potentially false.

Covington who is big fan of Donald Trump who is also his fan attracted a lot of media attention ahead of his UFC welterweight title match against Leon Edwards, but the judges’ scorecards saw him unanimously defeated .

Soon after, Covington claimed to have sustained a foot injury in the early minutes of the match and added that he lost because of it.

However, reports would later come from people who allegedly saw him walking soundly on the road following the match.

In reaction to this, Eblen said the following to The Allstar:

‘He just likes to make excuses bro, he looked terrible.

‘He’s well past his prime, he doesn’t have a shot so, I think he knows he doesn’t have another title shot left, he’s not going to be able to climb back up, so I think he’s just trying to make every excuse to where, you know, it’s like “Oh, he broke his foot, okay, we gotta let you rematch, you know, like he wasn’t 100 per cent.” It’s like “Bro, he’s done.”

‘Like, in my opinion, he has a couple more fights left, he’s going to be a stepping stone to the title, and yeah bro, this is just like- that guy’s like a pathological liar.’

That fight was the third consecutive one Covington had lost.
