Jon Jones’ cool reply to interim heavyweight champion

Jon Jones’ nice reply to interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall is still drawing applause from fans around the world.

Jones posted on X in reaction to Aspinall’s recent call to strip him of his heavyweight title. Immediately Tom Aspinall won Sergei Pavlovich during their contest for the UFC interim heavyweight champion title, Aspinall called for Jones’ stripping.

In the past, Jones was to defend his heavyweight title against heavyweight contender Stipe Miocic, but was unable to do so due to an injury sustained at an upper-body muscle during a training session.

Now undergoing a recovery process, Jones would be foolish to come out and crush the past underdog.

Jones’ statement was as follows: ‘I’ve faced the absolute toughest competition this world had to offer for 15 years now.

‘During camp for a title defense I sustained a major injury that required surgery for the first time in my career.

‘Now I have newcomers requesting I get my championship stripped. Zero wins over legends, zero title defenses and already thinking you can call the shots to Dana, that’s hilarious.

‘In my 15 year career I have seen so many guys who are supposed to be the next big thing. There’s ever only been one Jon Jones, never forget that.’
