MMA – Israel Adesanya Promises To Disgrace Rival Sean Strickland At UFC 293
Israel Adesanya boasted he would show everyone that Sean Strickland was ‘my b*tch’ at the UFC 293 event. He vowed to disgrace the rival, who got him irritated during a program by directing oral jabs at him and calling him ‘Izzy’.
Speaking on his plans for the fight later, Israel claimed he was not worried about people’s expectations of him during the now officially scheduled bout.
I don’t care about what people think, even though, yes, people do think I’m going to blow through this guy. Rightfully so. Cause I will. He’s not an easy fight, but I’ll just make it look easy. He’s a hard fight, but I’ll make it look easy. I’ve made a lot of hard men look easy. Easy work. This will be no different.
I’m on a warpath, and I’m going to end this man. He’s getting knocked out. He’s getting knocked out in this fight. But I believe his team will really try to get him to wrestle or clinch with me. He’ll get dumped on his ass and knocked out again. I don’t take him lightly because a man with everything to gain and nothing to lose is a very dangerous man. I take him very seriously, but I just know who I am and where I’m at.
Now Adesanya is the people’s favourite in the upcoming match, and has won slightly more fights than his opponent, Strickland. In the wake of the press conference where the rivalry heated up, the fighter regreted how the verbal exchange between him and Stricland went, and added that he was not prepared for that sort of thing. He seemed to hint that he lost during the exchange, but that he would make it up in the octagon.
I’m not worried about the press conference. I’m worried about the fight. He’s worried about the press conference, cause that’s where he thinks he’s going to shine. Last time he just caught me off guard because I wasn’t expecting to go back-and-forth with him. I also hated the fact he was sitting behind me like a retarded kid in class. I’m looking forward to the fight because that’s where it counts. I don’t give a f*ck about a press conference, but I’ve got some bars for him as well.
The Nigerian-born fighter is officially one of the all-time bests, and has more to defend in the coming contest than his ability to win the lower-ranked Strickland. He also has to prove that he was who MMA fans think he is. It is unlikely he is under no pressure, but is expected, as champions usually do, to handle it with good dexterity.
Whether it was in Boxing, Kick-boxing or MMA, the fighter’s number of losses have always been insignificant compared to his wins.
