UFC CEO pulls overweight man into weight-loss journey

UFC CEO Dana White convinced an overweight man to lose a lot of weight.

White offered to give fifteen thousand dollars to Gabe Poncio Souza if he loses a certain percentage of weight, and the man did.
In celebration of reaching the milestone, Souza posted the following statement on Instagram:
‘We did it Dana White. 228lb today. This is life changing for me. Can’t say thank you enough to you Dana for pushing me on this challenge.
‘We both look way different from two years ago! Onto the next challenge, 20lb down by Feb 15th! Let’s go.’
White himself, who allegedly received news that he had about ten years to live was indulging in a weight-loss program before speaking to Souza.
Dana White posted thus on social media, ‘Congratulations Gabe Poncio Souza on another health Milestone! Basically from 300lbs to 228.
‘Let’s keep rollin into 2024!!! Next weigh in is at UFC 298 in Anaheim on February 16th.’
UFC 300 is coming, and Conor McGregor is expected to participate.
Dana White had said the following to TNT Sports:
‘Conor is extremely wealthy and has a lot of different options in his life. You know, when Conor gets that hunger back and really wants to come back and fight, it’s all up to him.
‘If you look at what the guy has accomplished in such a short amount of time, the amount of money that he’s made [and] business opportunities that he’s taken outside of the Octagon – Conor can do whatever the hell Conor wants to do.
‘You want to build these amazing cards that blow people’s minds, but there’s also a lot more to it with [UFC] 300.
‘There’s this whole, “What is the feel of the show going to be around the show?” There’s a lot more that goes into it than just the card.
‘What you can expect is, the first prelim of the night you’ll be going like, “Holy s***! This is the first prelim of the night? This is insane! This isn’t right, these two shouldn’t be on the first prelim of the night.”
‘That’s how good [UFC] 300 is going to be.’
Concerning McGregor’s opponent, reports say it is likely to be Nate Diaz III.
