Mdundo and AMAMN Collaborate on Mixer to Celebrate Nigerian Music Growth
On October 20, Mdundo, a music service that provides easy and legal access to music and DJ mixes, hosted a mixer in collaboration with the Association of Music Artist Managers of Nigeria (AMAMN) to celebrate its growth in Nigeria and introduce the brand to major players in the music industry.
The mixer was held at Sidewalk in Victoria Island, Lagos. It was attended by top members of AMAMN, including the chairman of the organization, music industry executives, professionals, partners, and members of the media.
The objective of the mixer was to educate attendees about Mdundo’s goals for music in Africa, its services, how to maximize Mdundo as a music service, and gain visibility for the platform, which boasts 25 million monthly active users. The event also gave attendees a chance to network with each other. The mixer featured the celebration of Nigerian music growth, an introduction to Mdundo’s services, a question-and-answer session, food, and drinks.
“We are thrilled to have partnered with AMAMN for this enlightening Monthly Mixer,” said Umeadi Onyekwelu, Head of Music Licensing for West Africa. “In the harmonious partnership between Mdundo and AMAMN, music’s finest talent managers unite, creating a symphony of opportunity and innovation for artists and their managers to shine. It’s essential that artists have the tools and knowledge to effectively promote their message. Our collaboration with AMAMN aligns perfectly with our mission to empower musicians across Africa.”
“It was the most engaging mixer that we have partnered with any platform to host,” Godwin Raphani, AMAMN’s PRO commented. He further asserted the easy access, data, and convenience that Mdundo provides to content providers and industry players to gain tangible visibility while bridging the gap in the mass market, as it provides streaming services around the continent.
The mixer generated a lot of excitement about Mdundo, its services, and its impact in Nigeria.
