Daniel Dubois versus Joe Joyce Part Two important says Dubois’ trainer
British heavyweight contender Daniel Dubois should have a rematch with Joe Joyce according to Dubois’ coach Don Charles.
Speaking to Boxing News, the trainer said the following about a rematch between the duo:
‘Like I said, if that’s what’s going to be then I will examine it. It’s all about timing.
‘I have to look at it, the team has to look at it, the fighter has to have a say, is that really the fight? I would really like, not a tune-up, but going into another hard fight, we have to look at that.’
Charles believed that Dubois’ losses to Joyce and lineal heavyweight champion Oleksander Usyk should be avenged.
‘In the future, of course, that’s a fight we will look at for him to avenge and right the wrongs in his career so far, Joyce and Usyk, so it’s inevitable we will look at these fights.
‘But he’s had two hard fights back to back. There is a meeting pending with the promoter and we will know more after that.’
Dubois recently beat a big American Jarrell Miller to reinstate himself as a top boxer in the heavyweight division.
