‘Everything else is irrelevant Scary Ryan’: Belittled Shakur Stevenson answers Ryan Garcia
Boxing champion Shakur Stevenson replied to Ryan Garcia following a belittling statement from the same about him.
Stevenson’s last bout ended in a victory, but the backlash which followed his so-called underwhelming performance during the fight developed to a point where he said he would hang the gloves at a very young age.
But it seems the fighter might have changed his mind, since he implied his openness to another contest while replying to Garcia who had belittled him.
Garcia who is preparing to fight Devin Haney for the WBC Super-lightweight title said the following to The Breakfast Club:
‘Nobody is scared of Shakur, bruh. Nobody on the street has ever been like “yo, Shakur and you would be crazy”.
‘He is a good boxer, but it is nothing that stands out to me. OK, you know how to move, but it is nothing like Tank [Gervonta Davis] or me. I’ve been watching all my life, I know the ones that are different [level], he is not different.’
Stevenson replied via X.com, asking the fighter from a bigger weight class a big question.
‘Lol, if this ain’t the most scariest s**t I done heard. Can you beat me or not? Everything else is irrelevant Scary Ryan – And that’s why you would give everyone else an opportunity besides me.
‘No, I don’t [want him to come down to 135lbs], I would fight him at 140lbs.’
Garcia seems to have gotten himself a challenge. His reply will help fans decide how to see his initial statement.
