Anthony Joshua reveals why Oleksander Usyk could beat Tyson Fury
Former three-belt heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua fought Oleksander Usyk twice and lost both times, but came away with a secret he has now revealed ahead of Tyson Fury’s undisputed world heavyweight title bout with Oleksander Usyk.
Maybe without being asked whom the victor would be between Fury and Usyk, Joshua could have kept this secret to himself instead of saying it to the world.
Many found it surprising when Joshua recently said that because of the disrespect Fury showed him, he would be supporting a Ukrainian instead of his countryman. But Joshua seems to have found a legitimate reason to keep saying that the winner would be Usyk.
‘Usyk. I think he [wins],’ Joshua said to Sky Sports. ‘He’s a really good fighter and I’ve never fought Tyson Fury until now, I’ve never fought him so I don’t know how good he is.
‘Usyk I’ve fought on two different occasions and he fought differently in each. A good fighter knows how to adapt, so I think he will win.’
Before saying this, Joshua had replied he did not know. But gave a name when he was pressed further.
