Lawrence Okolie shocks fans with new coach

British boxer Lawrence Okolie has announced his new trainer to the surprise of fans.

The former WBO cruiserweight champion is yet to fight after losing his title last year to Chris Billam-Smith.

How he lost the strap is as memorable when he earned the title in a fight against Nikodem Jezewski in 2020.

Billam-Smith dropped Okolie on the cavas more than twice in the course of relieving him of the strap, while Okolie had Jezewski on the canvas thrice during their bout.

In a recent Instagram post, Okolie announced that he employed one-time Trainer of the Year, Joe Gallagher as his new coach.

‘Gallaghersboxinggym Bringing the KO back in Okolie 💥,’ was seen on Okolie’s wall.

Fury himself is preparing to fight Oleksander Usyk on May 18 at Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
