Eddie Hearn attacks Sky Sports: ‘You’re supposed to be impartial as a news outlet’

Matchroom Sports CEO Eddie Hearn who worked with Sky Sports in the past but now collaborates with DAZN accused Sky Sports of being partial.

In a conversation with Boxing Social, the promoter said the following about his current relationship status with Sky Sports:
‘Sky are being told not to push any Eddie Hearn, Matchroom and DAZN fights and have been for years. When I was at Sky I had a go at them and asked why are you pushing all these other fights over mine.
‘They said cause they are independent and they like to support the sport. Since I left they haven’t given us one tweet, one post, or one bit of air time which is really sad.
‘Katie Taylor, Josh Taylor vs Jack Catterall, it would be great for British boxing to get on that and say it is back. You’re supposed to be impartial as a news outlet but that is just the sadness of the sport. It is what it is, it’s a dirty game, baby.’
Sky Sports are yet to reply to this allegation.
