Is Anthony Joshua optimistic about fighting Tyson Fury or Oleksander Usyk?

Anthony Joshua answered whether he was looking forward to a fight with either Tyson Fury or Oleksander Usyk.

Fury and Usyk hold the WBC heavyweight title and the WBA, WBO, and IBF heavyweight straps, respectively, and are expected to actualize the undisputed world heavyweight bout on May 18.

Joshua himself has been promised that if he beat professional boxing newbie Francis Ngannou on March 8, he would be allowed to face the winner of that bout.

However, some important people have shown lack of trust in news that the fight would hold, and Fury’s weird injury which caused its postponement from February 17 to May 18 has not helped matters.

Speaking recently during an interview, Joshua was asked whether he expected to fight either Fury or Usyk in the future. The Englishman replied as follows:

‘I’m looking forward getting back in the gym and building on everything I’ve been doing.

‘In an 11-month period I’ve fought four times, I feel like I’m starting to get strong again, get my timing, get my rhythm.

‘I’m not too worried about Fury and Usyk – who knows if they’ll even get in the ring?’

Right now, Joshua has to get past tough Ngannou who stands the same chance as him of lifting a heavyweight title in the near future.
