More reactions following Tyson Fury’s eye injury
Many are reacting to the news of Tyson Fury’s eye injury which stopped the undisputed world heavyweight championship bout from happening.
One of those to react on X was former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou.
The new boxer debuted last year in a 10-round bout with Fury and nearly won, thereby earning himself the tenth spot in WBC’s top ten. Though he is preparing to have his second pro boxing match on March 8, he suddenly made a funny request after hearing the news.
‘So me and Joshua for the undisputed title March 8?’ he posted.
Usyk’s manager, Egis Klimas, seemed offended when talking to Ring Magazine recently on the new development.
‘Tyson Fury is a f***ing coward who will do anything not to face Usyk, and he asked his bitch to hit him with a frying pan in his brow. You can quote me word for word for that,’ he said.
‘When the news was brought to Oleksandr, he just smiled. That is all he did. He is too mentally strong to break. I was waiting for this moment.’
Finally, the most recent undisputed world heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis reacted on X.
‘Tough break for Tyson Fury. This cut is in same area as one he got in Wallin fight,’ he wrote. ‘He’s probably gonna need about 6 stitches and 3 months to heal. The saga continues…’
