Both Anthony Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, and world three-belt heavyweight champion, Oleksandr Usyk, have talked about the undisputed match between Tyson Fury and Usyk, and Usyk also predicted the likely outcome of a bout between Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua.

Along with many who think Tyson Fury’s build and strength make him the most likely winner, Eddie Hearn cast his vote on Tyson Fury’s side in a way that showed he did not believe Oleksandr Usyk would do much.

The time and venue of the undisputed champion bout are unresolved and thereby undisclosed, and Oleksandr Usyk sounded eager to have this information so he could schedule his training and campsite accordingly. Usyk also disclosed that he had an injury to heal from before he could have a comfortable match with Fury.

While speaking to Mo Boxin’ Mo Problems, promoter Eddie Hearn revealed the picture he expected to witness at the boxing match between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury, if it ever took place. Though he agreed it would be a ‘tricky’ fight, he did not show that he thought that Ukrainian champion Oleksandr Usyk would be able to beat WBC champion Tyson Fury.

‘I think Tyson Fury wins the fight,’ Hearn said. ‘I think it’s a very tricky fight. I don’t think it’ll be the greatest fight you’ve ever watched, but I think it will be fascinating.

‘But I think he will just be too good, he’ll mess around with Usyk and he’ll find a way.’

Oleksandr Usyk recently made a video and posted it to YouTube. In the video, he was seen revealing how things were going concerning the bout he would have with Tyson Fury. According to the video, negotiations have been going on for a long time, and agreements have been made, but the time and venue of the match are still unresolved.

‘The negotiations have been going on for quite a long time in Saudi Arabia,’ revealed Usyk. ‘After having the fight with Dubois we had a meeting with the representatives of the company that is organising the Fury-Ngannou bout and had the agreement on cooperation.

‘Tyson Fury has his contract signed with them. The bout interests all parties. I would like to know the exact day and place. Knowing it allows me to plan my training camp and chose its place.

‘All these help me to start preparing. I understand that the promotion of the match is important and necessary – it is a component of the show. But when I know the day and the place I can put on my helmet, close the visor and set off.’

Oleksandr Usyk’s match with Daniel Dubois ended in a controversial win for Usyk. The match result was appealed once to no avail, and is set to be re-appealed. It is the intention of Queensberry Promotions, Dubois’ promotion company, to land either a rematch or the cancellation of the score.

Few knew that Usyk had wounds he is healing from as he awaits the manifestation of a match with Tyson Fury.

‘I can’t say that everything’s ok,’ said Usyk. ‘But I’m fine. Some wounds, old injuries need to be healed. Everything’s under control.

‘I do my training sessions every day, but I need 14 weeks for my camp. It would be enough time for me. The first weeks I’m doing my work that helps me to get ready for the training camp. Then I’m working hard for the next 12 weeks.’

A fight between the two is less likely to hold in December, though Oleksandr Usyk said, ‘I would like it to be in December, but there’s no certainty.’

Oleksandr Usyk also said that Deontay Wilder will beat Anthony Joshua if the two ever get to fight.

After fighting Francis Ngannou, Tyson Fury will decide whether he is fit to face a heavyweight boxer like Usyk just less than two months later. UFC former-king Francis Ngannou will have his debut boxing match with Tyson Fury on October 28 at Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Though Tyson Fury is expected to win, he is also expected to leave with wounds.
