Tyson Fury reacts: ‘If anybody calls my wife a bit*h I will take his teeth out’
WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury had few words for a man who he assumed had called Mrs. Fury a female dog.
News from Fury’s camp reported that the Fury sustained an injury during a sparring session, and the Brit’s undisputed world heavyweight championship bout with Oleksander Usyk was shifted from February 17 to May 18 because of that.
Soon after, Oleksander Usyk’s manager Egis Klimas called Tyson Fury a coward who would do anything to run away from fighting his man.
‘Tyson Fury is a f—ng coward who will do anything not to face Usyk, and he asked his bitch to hit him with a frying pan in his brow,’ Klimas said to Ring TV. ‘You can quote me word for word for that.’
During an interview in which both fighters, Klimas, and Saudi official Turki Alalshikh were present, Fury said the following:
‘Egis, never call me a coward again. I’ve had 35 professional fights. I’ve been boxing for 18 years of my life.
‘I’ve climbed off the canvas 10 times, off the biggest punchers in history to win. Never a coward. Never backed down from any man in my life. And if anybody calls my wife a bit*h I will take his teeth out.’
‘How can you call me a coward? You’ve never had a fight in your life.’
In reply, Klimas said he never intended to use such a bad word for Fury’s wife, but went no further.
The change in time will give the champions more time to train.
