Tyson Fury says the ‘King of Kings’
Tyson Fury replied to Oleksander Usyk recently denying ever calling himself the King of Kings, and mentioned who deserved the title.
The two lineal heavyweight champions were to face each other for the undisputed world heavyweight title on February 17, but the fight was shifted to May 18 because Fury allegedly sustained an injury on the face during a sparring session.
WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury is still weathering a backlash as boxing fans keep wondering whether he got wounded on purpose. There have also been ugly reactions against the Brit from Usyk’s camp.
In an Instagram post shared by Fury as a message to Usyk who holds the WBA, WBO, and IBF heavyweight titles, the “Gypsy King” said the following to “The Cat”:
‘No I don’t claim to be king of kings, that’s Jesus Christ.
‘I claim to be the king of boxing, and I am. You will find out on May 18 you gap teeth rabbit. Undisputed.’
As things stand, fans are more on the side of Usyk while being very suspicious of the “Gypsy King”.
Pundit and former boxer Carl Froch keeps showing confidence in neither Fury nor the Brit’s promoter Frank Warren.
