Tyson Fury sets new goal amid bipolar disorder fears
WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury keeps finding ways to keep moving forward, despite his bad mental health. Lately, he announced a set of new goals that would keep him still working hard.
Tyson Fury’s weight mysteriously started to increase weeks ago, just as it happened when his bipolar disorder brought him to the brink of death in the past.
In those years, he was stripped of his title and had to enroll for mental health support. The only goal Tyson Fury had in those days seemed to be how to evade depression, excessive ingestion of alcohol, and the use of cocaine. It was cocaine that cost him his first WBC title , since he never lost the belt again till date.
What changed his life, according to him, was allegedly Deontay Wilder’s video, where Wilder said Tyson Fury would not be seen again. Fury would later come back to win Wilder twice. Wins that Wilder continues to say that Fury cheated to get – alleging that Fury hid an egg-shaped material in his glove, which he felt when Fury punched him. This claims have so far been unproven.
Tyson Fury announced that what keeps him going is set goals. Now that he has set a new goal, fans expect his fitness to return like before.
‘I want to top the Forbes list, and I’ll probably do that this year or next year,’ Tyson Fury announced. ‘Sports’ number one earner, across all sports. That is the only thing that I want to do now. Conor did well out of his career, earned a lot of money, fair play to the man, he done well. I want to top that sports list , as well. That is my goal now. Now that I have got a new goal, everybody is f***ed.’
He also revealed the opponents he expected to face.
‘Hopefully I get through Ngannou and then I either fight Ngannou in a cage or I fight Jon Jones in a boxing match. I’d go in a cage with Ngannou for sure, I’d let him kick me, I’d let him do what he wants to me, a full MMA fight. I’d knock him out and probably break his arm on the way too with an arm-bar, I’ll kick his leg and break it in two.’
