Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou: fighter’s abilities get juxtaposed, following release of latest training videos

Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou’s abilities are once again objects of intense scrutiny, following the arrival of videos that showed both men training for boxing. Commenters said the two were doing well on different sides of the spectrum.

The much-expected bout is scheduled to take place on October 28 at Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Tyson Fury, whose nickname is ‘The Gypsy King’ would not lose his WBC title if he lost in the contest. His performance in the videos showed him not to be a bit below all the great things both fans and pundits will expect of him in the boxing ring. His technique was good, and so was his speed.

Francis Ngannou, a former UFC heavyweight champion, for whom this contest would be his professional boxing debut, had employed the services of boxing legend Mike Tyson. Videos of Ngannou and Mike Tyson’s training sessions started appearing on YouTube recently, much to the surprise of the global community. Ngannou’s choice of trainer was understandable because he needed only the best to guide him before he faced the most decorated contemporary boxing champion.

Cameroonian-French fighter Francis Ngannou is unanimously the hardest puncher in professional MMA, while Tyson Fury is seen by many as the best boxer of the time. Although most fans of boxing are allegedly disappointed at Fury’s decision to fight with Ngannou instead of Olexandr Usyk, fans of combat sports would be very pleased to see how a boxing match between two men most would say are the best in their fields will end.

Many agreed that Francis Ngannou has a lethal punch-power. Among them was Tyson Fury’s own father, who joked about his son’s head being sown back on if Francis Ngannou succeeds to punch it off his shoulder. This ability of Ngannou’s is the only thing both fans and pundits think he is going into the fight with that could be a threat to Tyson Fury.

As for technique and expertise, it seems none expects much from Ngannou in these aspects. But Tyson Fury’s habit of letting himself be punched might work out in Ngannou’s favour, if Fury mistakenly forgot himself.

According to Ngannou, the winner would be ‘the baddest motherfucker on the planet’. Both fighters will also earn millions of dollars.

Prior to the scheduling of the contest, Tyson Fury announced, ‘I’m looking forward to showing the world that The Gypsy King is the greatest fighter of his generation in an epic battle with another master of his craft.’
