According to trusted sources from Italy, Frenchman Paul Pogba who plays for Juventus just failed a doping test. The repercussion, if officials were to prosecute him, would mean the 30 years old’s career would likely end.

Why?

The test was done by Roman Laboratory of Acquacetosa, a respectable organisation whose track record has only proved them to be world-class laboratory scientists.

Reports from the lab explained that the urine Paul Pogba submitted along with other players was found to contain a substance scientists called synthetic testosterone in layman’s terms. When the lab scientists matched the sample to his test tube, they had to report their findings to the appropriate authorities.

Now the result was reported today, but the urine was submitted on the 20th day of August, towards the first match the team played during the season; a match in which Pogba was left on the bench.

Italian officials say there is no drug sold on daily basis in Italy that contains the substance; testosterone is banned in their country, and its use is a big crime.

These mean that Pogba would not be in trouble with the sports organisers alone; the government of Italy would come for investigations and prosecution.

The substance can be purchased only through the dark web or other illegal means in Italy.

If the player fails to prove that he took synthetic testosterone without knowing it, or to bring satisfactory evidence on the possibly things that formed the chemical found in his urine, he would be in serious trouble, and likely end his career in shame.

Would the player show how the substance had entered his body without his knowledge, it would not save him from punishment, a trusted Italian source reveals.

It only has the power to reduce his punishment by half.

Any player found guilty of  taking the substance gets banned from playing, for the minimum of 4 years. Such length of time would be a nightmare to a 30 years old player whose market value has depreciated to a good extent, given his susceptibility to injuries.

Finally, this could be the end of Paul Pogba’s career, since times have changed, and it would be very hard for the bosses at Juventus to buy him a salvation.

It also seems impossible for him to disprove that he took the substance knowingly and willingly.
