Brentford 1–4 Liverpool: Mohamed Salah scores following injury, Alexis Mac Allister reacts
Liverpool’s Alexis Mac Allister reacted after his team beat Brentford (1–4) at Gtech community stadium in West London. Mohamed Salah who just returned from a hamstring injury he sustained at AFCON 2023 scored a goal, along with Mac Allister and others.
Speaking post-match, Mac Allister said the following to TNT Sports about Salah:
He’s amazing and I’m very happy for him. He’s been out and he’s been a little bit frustrated about it. But he came back and in just a couple of minutes he scored and assisted.
He’s an amazing player, an amazing leader for us, very important. I’m very happy for him.
Other players who found the net for The Merseyside Reds during the game were Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo.
Mac Allister who wears the no. 10 jersey had few things to say for himself.
When I was in Argentina I used to play as a No.10, so I know what the position means. I try to score and assist – that’s very important.
I’m really happy with my goal and the most important thing, of course, is the three points.
I always say that my idea is to understand football and be helpful for the team wherever they need me. It doesn’t matter if it’s six, 10, nine, whatever, I try to do my best. I’m feeling really good.
Liverpool rules on the Premier League table, with Manchester City and Arsenal coming behind.
