Norwegian international Erling Haaland had something to say about Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold’s biting remark.

Both teams occupy the two first positions on the Premier League table, with Liverpool leading the way.

Alexander-Arnold’s statement during an interview with FourFourTwo was unacceptable to many fans of Manchester City and had Haaland saying to Sky Sports, ‘They can talk as much as they want, or he can talk as much as he wants. I don’t know why he does that but I don’t mind.’

What in particular is causing the exchange? Trent Alexander-Arnold had said the following about Manchester City:

‘Looking back on this era, although they’ve won more titles than us and have probably been more successful, our trophies will mean more to us and our fanbase because of the situations at both clubs financially.’

Haaland was tactical in his reply, choosing to use Alexander-Arnold’s statement instead of coming from another angle.

‘If he wants to say that, okay,’ Haaland said. ‘I’ve been here one year and I won the treble.

‘It was quite a nice feeling, I don’t think he knows exactly this feeling. So yeah, that’s what I felt last season, it was quite nice so yeah.’

Both teams are getting ready to meet for a Premier League match. Maybe the players should speak by what they will do on the pitch instead.
