Amid the frenzy of post-match preparations between Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou, Tyson’s father John Fury, has revealed who he wants his son’s next opponent to be. Four-belt-holder Tyson Fury is to fight MMA superstar Francis Ngannou in a purely boxing match that will hold at Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

While voicing his thoughts, John Fury boasted about his champion son, saying he believes the boxer could get in the octagon with anybody.

‘Tyson isn’t the best in the world for nothing,’ he said. ‘If he crosses over, the Tyson I know, he can get in the octagon with anybody.’

From the look of things, John Fury wants his son to prove a point in the MMA arena. It is easy for MMA fighters to say that boxers stand little chance in a fight with MMA practitioners of their weight class. Would his son prove he was not just a boxer, that would gain him a respect John Fury really wants him to get.

‘That would be my plan [to see that fight next]. Go out with a bang, let the world see you’re the real deal in all walks of life not just a boxing match. No boxer has any chance whatsoever against him [John Jones.] As soon as somebody comes at you and starts doing this,’ John said, crouching down, ‘just hold your hands up and say ‘I’m good’, I don’t need any of this.

‘Tyson Fury, mate I know you think you can wrestle, I know you think you’re strong and heavy, if he [Jon Jones] gets hold of you he is pulling limbs off. You’re going to lose your ankle your knee, your arm, you’re going to lose something. Jon Jones is a freak of nature, the guys a monster.’
