Kalidou Koulibaly has accepted Chelsea as next club

Chelsea Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Kalidou Koulibaly, a 31-year-old Senegal international from Serie A club Napoli for a fee of €40m fee plus add-ons.

The Coach, Tuchel prefers Koulibaly because of his good experience. The 31-year-old has had many glorious moments with the club and National Team. his defensive prowess, strength, and speed have earned him the nicknames “K2” and “The Wall” from his fans.

In an interview that was given to him, The Senegal International stated   “I’m very happy to be here with this team at Chelsea. It’s a big team in the world and my dream was always to play in the Premier League. Chelsea came first to get me in 2016 but we didn’t make it – now I accepted”.

After his medical, he will be the second signing after Raheem Sterling.
He joined the Italian team Napoli in 2014, he played an important role in helping Napoli to sign the Supercoppa Italiana title; he also won the Coppa Italia in 2020. Koulibaly and Senegal won the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, beating Egypt in the final.
