Erik Ten Hag’s throne is shaky at Manchester United
Three things are shaking Erik Ten Hag’s throne at Manchester United, and there seems to be no help in sight.
The first problem facing the Dutchman is his perceived lack of dexterity in dealing with players, especially the big ones. Manchester United player, Jadon Sancho is still unavailable for inclusion in Manchester United’s team following a problem that started between him and coach Ten Hag during a training session.
According to the most recent information, the coach excluded the Englishman from playing in the next match after what the European coach considered a bad performance during the training session, but the player’s alleged bad attitude during that session had been born of the foreknowledge that he would not be starting the next match.
Instead of handling this matter within the club, Erik Ten Hag revealed during a post-match interview that the player was not training as he should be. The coach’s plan to force Sancho to upgrade his performance clearly backfired, since removing the player from the team to start the match neither made him try to train harder nor to apologise for his past mistakes, and the coach’s unwise words during the post-match interview did not help matters at all.
Pundit Gary Neville has said he does not see the coach succeeding to win any matches at Manchester United, meaning that the coach should be sacked if any progress were expected at Old Trafford. This is twin to what Zlatan Ibrahimovic said about the present development at United while discussing the scarcity of great performances in a club among the greatest clubs in the Premier League.
The second problem facing Ten Hag at Manchester United is that from the misadministration from the Glazer family. The Glazer trio have since fallen out of favour after their management of affairs at the club no longer brings pleasure to both fans and many at Manchester, but the Americans seem unwilling to leave. The can sack Ten Hag, however, though they one of the causes of the problem.
Finally, the club is in need of players that will fill certain wings that are leaking, and the problem with Sancho and the bad goalkeeping from David Raya and Aaron Ramsdale are just some of them.
