Conor Gallagher speaks ahead of matches against Liverpool, Manchester City
Chelsea skipper Conor Gallagher — whose two goals helped the Blues’ alongside that of Enzo Fernandez to beat Crystal Palace on Monday — had few things to say ahead of Chelsea’s matches with both Manchester City and Liverpool.
The Merseyside Reds’ and The Manchester Blues rule the top two places on the Premier League table respectively, and are among the toughest teams in the Premier League.
Speaking in a post-match interview published by chelseafc.com, Gallagher said the following about their upcoming Carabao Cup final against Liverpool and the other match:
‘We’ve got some massive games coming up and we’re trying our best to keep on improving.
‘The key thing for us is consistency. We need to be better.
‘We’ve had some games where we’ve been brilliant and some in which we’ve not been good at all.
‘We know within the squad we can be a top team, there is a lot of talent there and young players who are gaining experience together. We’re a work in progress but hopefully, the consistency can start to come now.’
Chelsea’s improving form could help them perform more than expected.
