Adidas have part ways with Kenye West over “Semitic Comments.”
Due to the artist Kanye West’s antisemitic comments, Adidas has ended its relationship with him.
West has posted a number of anti-Semitic tirades on social media in recent weeks.
The rapper claimed that Jews dominate Hollywood on Instagram. He had been removed off the platform as a result of this.
In addition, West tweeted that he was “going death con 3 on the Jewish people,” alluding to the state of the military’s preparation. There, he was also put on hold.
Recently, among other things, West said that the COVID-19 vaccination was the “mark of the beast” and that slavery was a choice.
In response to demand from the public, Kanye West’s talent agency, CAA, and the MRC studio both stated they were canceling entire documentaries on the musician.
Adidas does not tolerate antisemitism and any other sort of hate speech,” the company said in a statement.
“Ye’s recent comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful and dangerous, and they violate the company’s values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness.”
Adidas announced that it had done a “thorough evaluation” and will immediately halt Yeezy product manufacturing.
It further said that payments to Ye and his businesses will cease.
The sportswear business predicted that the decision might cost it up to 250 million euros ($246 million) in net profits this year.
Adidas had already declared it was reviewing its footwear agreement with the rapper after pressure from celebrities and social media users to respond to West’s anti-semitic remarks.
Adidas’ action comes roughly a week after West and the designer label Balenciaga severed relations.
Furthermore, it follows West’s decision to break links with his corporate suppliers and his decision to dissolve his company’s partnership with Gap.
