Chelsea have completed the signing of Leicester’s defender Wesley Fofana.

The transfer was finalized on Friday, the tenth day of the summer transfer window, which closes on Thursday when the Foxes eventually agreed to the £70 million Chelsea submitted for the young star.

Since the Blues’ interest in the former Leicester City star became apparent, the center-future back has been a matter of debate.

The 21-year-transfer old’s to Stamford Bridge has taken some time to negotiate because Leicester has turned down numerous offers lately. With the signing of Fofana to a six-year contract, Thomas Tuchel has finally secured his defensive target.

The France Under-21 international will join Gabriel Slonina, Carney Chukwuemeka, Kalidou Koulibaly, Raheem Sterling, and Marc Cucurella as Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel’s sixth summer signings.
