Premier League captains will decide this season whether to continue to “Take a Knee”.
The English Premier League (EPL) club captains will meet once more this week to discuss whether to continue kneeling down before every game in the upcoming season.
Since the summer of 2020, English football has featured the anti-racism gesture, which was seen as a key emblem in the game’s campaign against prejudice.
Its value has been periodically contested and several clubs, most recently Championship sides Bristol City and Swansea, last week elected to cease taking the knee.
The 20 Premier League captains met on Thursday to discuss the issue of whether or not to continue kneeling.
It is believed that the Premier League is glad to support the players in their decision.
