Axel Disasi points out a Chelsea problem
French international footballer Axel Disasi mentioned what can safely be called one of Chelsea’s problems.
The Blues’ performance have fluctuated so much this season that it has become a phenomenon, with a Premier League coach famously saying that one does not know which Chelsea he is going to get.
Following an underwhelming away match at Brentford which ended in a hard-earned 2–2, Axel Disasi said one of the challenges he saw facing the London squad: their defense.
In his statement during a post-match interview, Disasi spoke as follows:
‘As a defender of course, when you play every game you want a clean sheet. We have to work on this. It’s not only about us as defenders.
‘It is about all of the team. We have to stay together and to improve on this part of our game. Before the game we knew this team love to cross and put the ball into the box.
‘They scored like this so we have to work hard on this and look to keep clean sheets in the future.’
A look at this comment can make one rightly assume that Disasi has not been happy about the team’s defense. Since he is himself a defender in the team, one can accept his observation as an expert’s.
