EPL Coach: ‘We have seven days to prepare’
A Premier League senior tactician said that his club had seven days to prepare for what comes next.
During an interview, Chelsea’s Coach Mauricio Pochettino told Chelseafc.com that his whole team, which included the players, had seven days to prepare for their clash with Middlesborough.
‘We have seven days to prepare for the second leg against Middlesbrough. Then we face Aston Villa on Friday in the FA Cup, and then Liverpool in the Premier League.
‘So I think they need these three days off to breathe a little. Then we can attack the second half of the season.’
The team was tied down with demanding, sporting engagements all through the festive season of Christmas and even after.
It was recently being said that the Premier League break will give Premier League players chance to rest, but the rest will not be long.
‘We need to give the players some rest,’ the coach said. ‘But also the staff because it has been a busy period and they need to breathe a little bit. The break is well deserved.’
