As the deadlock between Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho and coach Erik Ten Hag continues, several people are speaking their minds on the issue. One of them was Dimitar Berbatov, who once played for Manchester United.

Jadon Sancho was accused of being addicted to video games and arriving late for training by officials at Old Trafford, but they were not the first to say so. It has been revealed that the very talented player, whose speed and skills are the reason for his high cost, plays too many video games, sleeps late, and was also late for training at Borussia Dortmund.

This bad habit allegedly led to his being excluded from the squad that recently contested for Manchester United against Arsenal. When coach Erik Ten Hag released a statement in the post-match interview following that match, saying that Jadon Sancho’s bad performance during training was why he was not allowed to play in the match, Sancho posted a message on his Instagram wall, refuting the coach’s claims. Ten Hag therefore banned him from playing on the first team or using any of their facilities until he apologized. But Jadon Sancho has so far refused. There are increasing rumours that he might be leaving Old Trafford in January.

Dimitar Berbatov thinks the player’s pride is keeping him from apologising and stated it was better for the club and Jadon Sancho to ‘part ways’.

‘Sometimes a player, and I hope this isn’t the case for Sancho, who takes this long to resolve conflict has overestimated his own value to the club. When it’s Ronaldo, it’s different as he’s achieved everything. I was at the club when Wayne Rooney had a fallout with the manager, and they sorted things out.

‘I think Sancho is overestimating his importance. He’s not won that many trophies with them. It’s a different situation. United can easily decide to get rid of Sancho over this. As talented as he is, and we all saw it at Dortmund, he has yet to show any of this at United. We can only speculate why that is, maybe it’s his surroundings or the people who he’s around, or maybe it’s because he doesn’t agree with the manager. If this drags on anymore, I can’t see it getting better and it’s best to part ways.’
