Man Utd: Roy Keane attacks coach Erik Ten Hag
Dutchman Erik Ten Hag, the coach of Manchester United men’s team is under fire again, this time by former player Roy Keane.
The problem all started with the poor results the players have been supplying fans recently.
All of a sudden, Manchester United beat Everton 3-0 recently and the coach was too happy for Keane’s liking.
Manchester United is still to become a favourite this season due to their underwhelming start to the season and their subsequent low quality form.
When Ten Hag praised the captain Bruno Fernandes for giving a penalty kick to Marcus Rashford instead of taking it as he was supposed to, Keane seemed too annoyed to keep silent.
‘He’s giving toffee out there to Bruno for passing on the ball for the penalty. Absolute b***** rubbish,’ began Keane. ‘Absolute rubbish coming out with that. Manchester United are sixth now – if you went back a few years, if you were sixth you’d be embarrassed,” Keane told Sky Sports.
‘But obviously they seem happy with sixth. They have a long way to go. Manchester United have to be competing with the best teams. That’s including Liverpool, [Manchester] City, Arsenal.
‘Obviously you’ve got teams like Spurs having a decent spell, Villa and of course Newcastle. They go to Newcastle next week – we’ll see what Manchester United turns up. That’s what they’re supposed to do, turn up for the big games.
