Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s one-fourth takeover at Manchester United is expected to change both the look of Old Trafford and who works for the club. Also, two personnel sectors are currently on his radar.

Apart from needful renovations at the stadium, Sir Ratcliffe is planning to sell three players first before any others. These players are none other than exiled Jadon Sancho, under-pressure Antony Dos Santos, and struggling Anthony Martial.

Sancho and Dos Santos cost Manchester United a lot to buy, but they have given the club little reason either to rejoice about the stunning spending or to want to retain their services. Though the reason for Sancho’s absence from the list of scorers in recent months is not entirely his fault, it seems that nothing will be able to change Sir Ratcliffe’s mind.

Coach Erik Ten Hag is still expecting Jadon Sancho to apologise to him following their recent fallout over Sancho’s social media post in which Sancho called the coach a liar. Sancho said that because of Erik Ten Hag’s post-match comment, in which Ten Hag said that Sancho was not allowed to play that day for Manchester United because of his bad performance during training.

Antony Dos Santos might still be feeling self-conscious following multiple accusations of abuse by some females and the highly publicised claims of his former girlfriend Gabriela Cavallin, who said he caused her physical injuries on more than one occasion. Investigations are still ongoing both in Brazil and Manchester, United Kingdom.

The other sector where Sir Ratcliffe is planning to change things is that of the sporting director. There are rumours that efforts have been going on since March to get Paul Mitchell as the club’s sporting director, and the man was sighted on Monday watching a player closely at a match between Getafe and Cadiz.

The player was Mason Greenwood, a Manchester United player working for Getafe on loan. Greenwood could be in Mitchell’s book of players needed at Manchester United, many think.

Finally, Erik Ten Hag’s position as coach seems safe for now. Things are also likely to change for the club after the January transfer window, since Sir Ratcliffe could have completed his partial takeover then and modified a few things to his taste.

As fans await these changes, they might watch helplessly as their beloved team loses more matches.

Jonny Evans is now added to the list of players who will not be playing for the club till further notice, having sustained a thigh injury in the club’s sad outing against Copenhagen.

‘Jonny Evans will be out of action for the next few weeks with injury. The Northern Ireland defender suffered a thigh strain in the first half of our Champions League game with FC Copenhagen in Denmark on Wednesday,’ read a statement from Manchester United.

The club’s next contest will be against Luton.
