Manchester United player Kobbie Mainoo reacted after being promoted to the English men’s team at the age of 18.

Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live recently, he shared his feelings following the appointment as follows:

‘I was shocked and happy.

‘It’s been a whirlwind of emotions, a pretty mad couple of days.’

Mainoo has been in the ranks of Manchester United’s players battling for the trophies, and confessed it had been ‘tough’.

‘I had to adapt quickly to the Premier League. Obviously, it’s very demanding physically, and also mentally, so it’s been tough.

‘But I feel like I’ve found my feet a bit now and I’m enjoying it.

‘The games have been coming so fast at United but now I’m here [with England], obviously I am taking it all in and it’s been amazing.’

Preparing to feature at England’s side during their upcoming friendly match with Brazil, the player will likely be looking to show his worth and maintain his place in his country’s squad.
