Surprised Mauricio Pochettino reveals Ben Chilwell’s future absence
Surprised chelsea coach Mauricio Pochettino revealed that Ben Chilwell will be missing in action during the club’s next match.
England’s Chilwell got hurt while playing against Belgium in a very tough match, and will be sidelined for some time.
Chelsea meets Burnley this weekend in what would be their first game following the break. But some players are expected to be unfit for the game. Among such players are Carney Chukwuemeka, Trevoh Chalobah, and Robert Sanchez.
Speaking to journalists, Pochettino reacted to Chilwell’s featuring in England’s matches.
‘Surprised, not surprised, I don’t know if he cannot play with us or be available, because he didn’t play after Brentford with us.
‘He played a few minutes against Leicester. He started two games. Yeah, maybe, it’s a surprise for us. But it’s bad luck because he got a dead leg in the last moment of the game against Belgium.’
The real bad luck will be if Chelsea finds it too hard to deal with Burnley during the weekend.
