Former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder is back to ascend a heavyweight throne once again, but must get through Joseph Parker first.

Speaking recently in the final press conference before the coming fight, Wilder said the following:

‘I’m calm and collected. I’ve been here many times before. I’ve fought his style before, but he’s never fought a style like mine.

‘He’s never felt the power that I bring and possess.’

Wilder’s trainer Malik Scott also said that his man is fit for the job.

‘Joseph has the perfect style for Deontay to look spectacular against tomorrow and that’s what he’s gonna do,’ said Scott.

‘Deontay weighed 213lbs. This is the weight where he gives out his most decapitation work and tomorrow isn’t going to be any different.’

However, incumbent WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury opined that Parker can win Wilder is Parker keeps a certain instruction.

It was Tyson Fury that relieved Wilder of his heavyweight title. Furthermore, the trilogy that saw Wilder finally beltless saw Fury get knocked down several times by Wilder’s powerful arm.

Fury had only one advice for his friend and sparring mate.

‘Don’t get hit in the face with one of them big KO right hands and you’ll be alright,’ Fury said.

‘Avoid the right hand! That’s my tip for Parker. What more else can you say?

‘Don’t get hit by the right hand and you’ll win the fight.

‘Easy day, isn’t it? Sounds easy, anyway. I think Parker will do him.’

Wilder had a reply to this advice, since it had been repeated time and time again.

‘We’re gonna find out Saturday night,’ Wilder said.

‘I’m glad that he’s getting advice, I hope he’s taking it all in.

‘Because when he wakes up he’s gonna be like, “Damn, they lied to me.”’

Today is the D-Day.
